BTW, I"d support a one or two buck limit. And, a healthy herd is of utmost importance to me too.

I wonder what the numbers of out of state applications for deer
hunting is in Kentucky, as compared to Tennessee's non-resident
applications? I'm sure both states have alot, but if Kentucky
has the most...I wonder why. If Tennessee has the most, I also
wonder why.

Anybody know the figures?

The deal is KY's system is maybe not driven by license sales, TN's is. You take away opportunities from the average hunter in TN it will affect license sales in TN, thus affecting TWRA. That's not so hard to understand, right?

Not sure I wholly agree with this, though I haven't been in on many of the previous threads. But whichever state I am in, I am buying a license. I am hunter and I am going to hunt whatever they let me. Bag limits have never played into the equation. Ever. Doesn't play into which NR licenses I buy either. Never discouraged me from buying a Kansas or Kentucky NR tag, though they only have 1 buck limits.

Don't really see many folks ceasing to hunt because TN drops to a one (or raises to a twenty) buck limit either. I guess I don't really look at a one buck limit as lost opportunity. It definitely makes me more selective before I pull the trigger though. And that's a fact.

P.S. I am not here to argue for a one buck limit in TN. Just saying it wouldn't affect my license buying practices either way.
