Me and one of my buddies were looking for sheds on one of my farms yesterday, and of course i started by walking the fence line of our property. Well about 300 yards down the line(wooded area previously select cutt), i came across a deer dumping site right on my fence line. Out of the 14 rib cages i counted 3 were spikes and 7 had skull caps cut off. Not that big of a deal right? Well ther also was a button buck with intestines hanging out, and no meat taken off laying 30 yards off the fence. The deer couldnt have been shot more than 2 days ago. And during bow season i saw a man walking on my side of the line with a rifle, So obviously he has no consern for land or seasons. There is one house about 300 yards away from this spot so the culprit is easily assumed. So should i call a game warden or will it do any good or just make things worse. and create a new enemy across my fence line?

I would call and try to accompany the officer if/when he goes to look it over. It's against my raising and I totally do not understand this kinda stuff at all.
Welcome by the way!

I would call the person that lives close by and ask them a few questions.. If they seem kinda shady about it, then get the twra involved.

I would call the TWRA first and not worry about what the neighbors think.

if you wanted to take a chance you could hang a camera and try to catch him dumping the deer and let the evidence speek for itself.

Yes but i dont kno if i want to take the chance of loosing a camera. And my local twra officer is coming to check the scene out on Tuesday. Also today i went and took pictures of the freshest carcass, that was now almost all the way eaten by cyotes. Which yesterday wasnt touched at all, so it couldnt of been there for more than 2 nights

This is another reason why hunters should forget about worrying about buck limits and worry more about poachers in their areas. I know several people think we can't do nothing about this and there are so few TWRA officers. The poachers are more of a problem then buck limit will every be.... We have to unite together and notify TWRA about every violation that we come across. I see hunters on here all the time asking what should I do when they see a violation.... They should call TWRA... TWRA will not catch the bad guys all the time but if you never call them, then you don't give them a chance...JMO
