Tickweed, can you post a picture of your buck? That way I will have a vision of what walks those fields and ridge lines.

Ok ,I finally figured out how to get my Illinois 09 bow kill pictures on here. This is a Jefferson county public land deer I took ,with a gross score of 152 6/8,that dressed 170,taken at 18 yards while chasing a doe.If his G-4 had matched up,he would have pushed 160.A nice 3 1/2 year old. Plumbdaddy, this is typical of what you might see.Don't get me wrong, they aren't behind every tree, but they ARE there.Good luck once again.

Congrats! I'm jealous! I've not been able to go since 2003 due to lack of funds. Man I had the time of my (hunting) life in Illinois. Good luck, hope you get a big'n!

Great deer Tick. You guys should really enjoy your hunt. The rut up there is awesome. I use to hunt in Pope county on public land and it was a sight to see during the rut. I even managed to tag a nice one. Good luck to ya!
