Depends on which state, several areas here in TN. A mix of public and private from 8 acres on up to several thousand.

Me and 2 other hunters (not counting the poachers) about 1200 acres... Thats why I don't worry about buck limits.... The poachers will thin them out...

2400+or- acres on one tract and 666 on a second tract 3 miles apart. we practice trophy rules in that we take 8 pt or better and 14 in spread +......we are bordered with other hunt clubs who do the same or similar in cluding an entire management area which doesnt at all because it is public. We are happy with ours but like all others it could be better.

One of my spots is 2-acres...I have killed eleven deer from the small pine thicket in the past five years...
My other land is 70 acres...

We have 350 acres in Perry County that is surrounded by 1,000+ acres of public land that a handful of people hunt at the most. The terrain stops people from hunting close to our place which makes our place feel like its twice the size.
