I hate bait trees! I am going to cut down every persimmon, white
oak, locust, crabapple, and even red oak tree that I run across!

It is just not too much sport, when you have the deer coming to
that kind of food!

Nothing at all wrong with hunting over a little fruit orchard. Legally speaking, if you walk out there and pick up a peach and move it 3 ft, then climb in your stand, thats baiting. Now, I would be the first to admit that the GW wouldnt like me one bit if I did do that and he caught me . But a fruit tree is no different that a White Oak. To be honest, just about all of our fruit is gone before the season even starts. I dont even hunt over them much, since theres not much left.

Being that our place is an hour from where I live, it is a war between me and the deer to get the fruits before they do ......man vs deer

It IS an advantage,at least I hope,otherwise I wouldnt be doing it.I hunted many a day on public ground,finally found my own piece of heaven,gonna make it as good as I can.

I aint relying on luck,Im doing all I can to make em produce as soon as possible.
