I guess,thats what a lot of people call it,I dont care its fun.I planted 2 new pear trees,will be some good bait! Next,I checked on my food plots,looks like good bait,clover and turnips! THen freshened up my mineral l,icks,man they are on em!

YUP....under rule#7 of Prohibited Acts, in the General Regulations, it says hunting is prohibited over a site where bait has been placed to feed or attract wildlife unless all bait has been removed 10 days proir to hunting...If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck...Hmmm... placing, planting, objective are all the same to me. Oh well, I know I'm spit'n in the wind on this one, but I'm bored and got nuthin better to do...

Think I will top out this year,running out of room.I just posted this to be aggravating,dont mean to be a smart a$$,just figured I would start my own "legal"baiting thread.Ive been waiting for the right spot my whole life,found it,and Im gonna do anything I can,legally, to have the deer around.Plus I like doing it.Its fun.

Nothing at all wrong with hunting over a little fruit orchard. Legally speaking, if you walk out there and pick up a peach and move it 3 ft, then climb in your stand, thats baiting. Now, I would be the first to admit that the GW wouldnt like me one bit if I did do that and he caught me . But a fruit tree is no different that a White Oak. To be honest, just about all of our fruit is gone before the season even starts. I dont even hunt over them much, since theres not much left.
Being that our place is an hour from where I live, it is a war between me and the deer to get the fruits before they do  ......man vs deer

I hate bait trees! I am going to cut down every persimmon, white
oak, locust, crabapple, and even red oak tree that I run across!
It is just not too much sport, when you have the deer coming to
that kind of food!

OK,OK...I understand y'alls point. .My point is that IMO this creates an unfair advantage in favor of private landowners and those that lease. Rest assured, if I had my own place, I'd be doin what y'all are.  Now, that being said, I for one have never hunted over placed bait, nor do I plan to. I guess it boils down to me not being able to differentiate between planting fruit trees or food plots vs putting out any other form of attractant, when all are done for the same purpose.
