When to plant?

We have a Chicory/clover blend that we are going to plant this spring. The bag says to plant it between Feb. 1st and April 15 in Tennessee. Any suggestions? It seems too early right now as it is still cold here in West TN. The only experience we have with farming is planting deer/turkey food plots as it is usually hit or miss with us. I would hate to waste the seed.

I always wait until the closest weekend to April 15th so this year would be the 17th and 18th. That usually is when the threat of frost is gone. Just my two cents.
