I have no doubt some wouldn't shoot 3 no matter. At the same time I have a hard time understanding the thought process of the hunters that said yes and are for lower limits. How can you be as concerned about the mature buck numbers or the the difficulties other hunters are having killing a trophy but, still a willing participant in the very behavior you believe is causing the problems. Makes no sense.

I said yes and I'm not for lowering the limit.

difficulties other hunters are having killing a trophy .
That is their own problem or fault, as there are plenty of mature bucks in this state, and if a person doesn't kill one then they have no one to blame but themselves.

I have to say I would, because I did (once). But I must admit that my standards were lower then.
Some years I don't shoot any bucks (like last year) and one year I killed three. It probably averages out to less than 2 bucks per year for me, but many times I've had two bucks in the freezer and I still go out, and if a dandy steps in front of me I'd for sure shoot it.
My hunting is getting better each and every year, so I plan to keep doing what I've been doing, and I hope TWRA does the same.

Yes, but the last time I killed 3 bucks in one year was in 97. I hope to get the chance again.

The opportunity at taking 3 bucks in 1 season meeting my standards doesn't come often. Considering I have over 18,000 acres to hunt and that I haven't taken a buck in the last 5 seasons if I had the good fortune of being able to shoot 3 bucks next season I would and I'd be very happy about it. Over that 6 year period that would still only average me taking 1 buck every other year.

Lets see...I could do one of the following:
1) Spend thousands on land, baiting sites...OOPs, I mean food plots, trail cams, shoot'n houses and tree stands galore. Then give up a lot of my fishin time so I can keep a constant watch on the deer so I'll know when and where they'll most likely be when the season arrives. Then put on my scent killin stuff and head out to one of my dozens of stands, which will be dictated by the current wind direction, moon phase, latest cam pics etc. I could then sit back and dream about how impressed everyone is gonna be when I...Whoa!! here comes something ...its a buck!!!...darn, only a small 6 pt...shoot it anyway!!! you know you want to.. No, wait, B&C only, remember...my dignity is at stake here. Besides, remember that by letting it walk your neighbor will kill it and then you can bash him for shooting the poor thing.
2) Go to the small overgrown farm down the road, that a friend has so graciously given me permission to hunt on. Climb up into one of my 4 stands. kill whatever I darn well want to (within the regs.).
I choose #2....3 bucks, no problem
Why?...cause I love to see'em, shoot'em & eat'em...I get a rush from it all. Home grown deer and bragg'n don't mean squat to me...
