Just ran across this video that should be required viewing for anyone thinking about getting in a treestand without a safety harness. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqfkK3h2jqM

I quit doing trees about 4 years ago. I never fell, but I never felt comfortable in a tree, even in my young days. I know many hunters swear by tree stand hunting, but believe it or not, you can still kill some quality game from the ground.
Saftey belt or not, tree climbing is not natural to me. I can say that I have killed my best bucks from the ground, even though I hunted many years from a tree. Years ago I didn't always hunt from a tree and if I found a good "set up", I would hunt from the ground.
