I won't hunt without Little Man. It just ain't right. I'm proud as can be to have him to share hunting with. Most of the time I don't even take a gun..just let him do the killing. I want him to have the joy of harvest, if I do too..great, but it's all about him.

Been solo for the past 2 years after the farmer on our old lease took over the hunting and kicked most of us out for his people. Would much rather hunt with some others, just hasn't worked out here lately.

I was introduced to deer hunting by a cousin in Ms years ago. He hunted Ms. exclusively and in a place where you were lucky to kill a spike. I was full of Field and Stream and Sports Afield cover stories of big bucks so after the first year of hunting I went in search of better places to hunt. I started my second year of deer hunting in Benton County, LBL, and Natchez Trace. I hunted with a couple of others at first (Wildcat was one of them) but mostly I hunted solo. I almost exclusively hunted solo after that for years hunting either private property or choice public lands. The only time I hunted with someone was when Wildcat and another friend and I could co-ordinate a hunt together. I then went back to Ms hunting and hunted solo for the next 6 years or so. When I returned back to Tn hunting I joined a club. For the next 10 years I hunted there. There were people around but I still mainly hunted solo. I left that club and joined another. I still hunt solo alot of the time but another member and I team up alot hunting together in the same general areas.

At the inlaws, I hunt with one of the cousins and his friends. Sometimes I hunt alone. It just depends what day it is and our work schedules.
Public land, I hunt by myself. Although I would'nt mind hunting with someone, it doesn't work out because of schedule conflicts. So I just go alone.

90% of my trips are solo. there might be several of us on the lease at the same time but for the most part, I drive up alone. the advantage is I am on my own schedule. when I am ready to go, I'm gone and no one has to wait on me to leave when they are ready.

For a long time I hunted alone, now started to enjoy it with family and friends.
