What is the best thing that you can plant that will benefit the deer this time of year? It seems that wheat and oats are always eating into the ground this time of year and not providing much.
I wondering if standing corn, beans, or milo would not be a better choice for late winter.

I would say if you are going to plant something it would be clover, that's really the only thing I can think of that would grow and deer would eat it.

I've got clover and it does not grow in the dead of winter, its pretty much like the wheat and oats this time of year.

I wondering if standing corn, beans, or milo would not be a better choice for late winter. Assuming you have a pretty good deer population,I would think even standing corn would be gone by now, unless you have a lot of acres you can devote to it.
