A friend of mine heard about this WMA area in Ohio. It is located in Jackson County. Anyone know anything about this place? Any info you might share? We are considering hunting there next year. Thanks in advance!

We should just have a Tndeer bowhunt up there this fall. Their archery season is going to open the beginning of sept this year.

What I saw was the proposed season was September 25-February 6, 2011. Are you sure about the begining of September?

Yeh, got my first deer with shotgun there. tons of deer and hunters. the big ones are there but better to hunt early and way back close to private land. in shotgun season you need to get way back like i said and sit all day. they have them running all over. my hunting buddy in ohio hunted that since he was 12. he got his first pistol doe there weighing in at 200 lbs and biggest body weight buck there too. its worth the drive. plus they moved some camping sites so you better check that first.

Just checked and there are no proposals for early season. Will begin Sept 25-Feb 6th
Would have been nice to chase some big ole velvet bucks still on feeding patterns!!

Yep I went back and looked and they had it wrong. Wishful thinking I guess.
