Just looking at the pics I think 3.5. It's hard to tell but the dentine on tooth 4 looks like it's possibly thicker than the enamel so this would make me lean to 3.5 too (according to our fabulous tndeer tips and tricks tap on this website).

tough one.....did you shoot it late in the season? Skinny body or heavy? I would lean toward 2 if shot late in the season...toward three if shot before rut.

It's usually harder to guess correctly from pics such as those vs. actually having the jawbone in hand ---- where you can view multiple angles and actually run your finger across the teeth.

Excellent point, pass-thru, but I'm leaning towards 2 1/2 on this one regardless of time of season killed.
Definately not a yearling, possibly a 3 1/2, probably a 2 1/2.

The fourth tooth does show some wear (crests are worn away), but the narrowness of the dentine, and the fact the premolars (first three teeth) show so little wear influences me to lean towards 2 1/2.
