What I don't like, and you can blame the TV industry on this one, is when people will kill a small buck and apologize about it. Be proud of whatever you harvest!
Or don't shoot the dang thing!!

A trophy hunter is not defined by what is a trophy to to any single hunter...heck, I've killed some trophy does...Instead it is defined on the record books. Exactly, marketing has taking the term trophy hunter and manipulated it to create this false term. Therefore, marketing and all the other words that has changed the way people view hunters are the cause. In the real world, trophy hunters shoot what makes them happy. I don't care what the record books say, I have several bucks that would make the record book. In my opinion, all the marketing in the hunting world has done more harm than anything.
Good deal and a big congrats! Post us some pics, we all like to look at big pretty bucks, especially this time of year, show us some pics to keep us fired up!

They are all trophys to me I wont make fun or degrade anyones deer. We all hunt for our own reasons If you kill a deer be proud of it no matter how big or small we owe that much to the animal

Although TV deer hunting shows are unrealistic to the average
hunter, I do believe they create interest in deer hunting. I
think most sensible hunters know these shows are not the norm.
I certainly know they are not, but alot of the time, they get me
motivated to go hunting when I feel like it is not a good time to
go. It actually worked one time and it was a good time to go.
