I used to read all the bad thing people said about bowriter and just laugh up a storm. Knowing he was just having fun. Several years ago this place was a hot bed of activity. Lots of yelling and cussing and nashing of teeth

Some of the old timers on here realize I start stuff just to get a laugh. Some of the new ones think I am serious. So allow me, if you will, to tell a maybe not so short story. But it is a true story and please excuse the typos, I'm a tad shakey today.
Many, many years ago their was a girl in Austin, Texas of whom I thought quite lot. Apparently she felt the same about me because she suggested several time we get married, settle down and have kids.
That I couldn't do. We were way too young. And she said one night, as I was about to leave for a rodeo, "You are just two tailights going down the road. You are always leaving. So this time just stay gone." I never forgot that phrase-two tailights going down the road
And I did. I stayed gone and the years of cheap motels and dusty arenas rolled by. Then came college. And a new girl I thought a lot of and still do
I was married with a young son. Married to a good woman, still is today. I have not seen that son in almost 40 years. I was just two taillights going down the road.
Then I met Jeanne. We have been together for 35 years and have two grown children and one grandchild (hopefully one on the way). I spent the entire time those two kids grew up hunting deer in one form or another. Just two tailights going down the road. Now it is too late.
Folks this hunting deal is just recreation. Don't let it take over your life. Don't look back and say, "I should have been at that birthday party." Don't be so serious about it. Kick back and relax. It is just hunting.
Don't be those tailights going down the road.
And that's all I got to say about that. Now maybe you understand why I poke fun at people and make people mad It'sust hunting. Jeff Coggins once said, "Get real. This isn't a way of life. It is just hunting."

Double D-got no problem with you at all. I'm just pointing out we take this crap too seriously. There are far more important things in life. I have made a living, a good living in this industry for many years. And I missed the most important things.
They were right in my own backyard.
A few weeks ago, an old friend asked me if I was a candidate for the Hall of Fame. He11, I don't care about any hall of fame. I'm in one and it doesn't mean a thing to me. I want to sit in my living room with a grandbaby in my lap and tell stories.
All I'm saying is just don't get obssesed with the deer hunting thing.

I really don't know where I stand on this topic some discussions are really good some just suck and a few say stuff just 2 piss you off then when you attack back you get the boot! Using the "Ignore This User" button is the best way I've found to deal with the one's that just like to make ya mad.Lifes too short to waste time on ButtHoles.

You know, thinking back, I can't think of a single butthole on this forum. But I'll give it some more thought. I could be wrong. If you have a problem or a bone to pick with someone, take it to PM or email.
It really is that simple.

I couldn't agree more. My "Ignore User" list grows longer every day. Sure makes the experience here more pleasant.
