two weeks centerfire season(s); one the week of Thanksgiving, another the week of Christmas. The rest of the time -- archery only. Keep youth hunts as is, allow use of firearms.

2 buck limit....
let some go and grow of all age classes
lets say now 10 bucks of such and such age class get shot under a 3 buck limit from the start till finish of the season
and then lets ponder under a 2 buck limit that same age class has 1 or 2 survive under a 2 buck limit out of those 10 from a 3 buck limit
what happens???????

the vast majority of hunters dont even kill a buck anyways
so who in the heck is a 2 buck gonna honestly hurt? a very small percentage of the total hunters at the most that shoot mature bucks or the entire spectrum of ages in between

just wondering how many of you guys pushing for buttons to be counted as bucks will turn your buddy or yourself in when you screw up and shoot a button thinking its a doe and have no tags left?Be honest would you?I know you guys will say look at the head but a lot of things happen in a hurry while hunting.They put that rule in place to help hunters.
also like stik said it will allow people to kill buttons and less than 3" spikes if a "buck is a buck" when they would have not been legal before on buck only hunts.

a longer juvenile period - especially for the first one. need time to take all of my kids - plus if weather is bad - like it was for this years opening juvi - not real enjoyable. i need for the kids to want to go - so i can go.
