the reason is that most don't care about state issues but more about their own backyard......
actually it makes sense simply because here in west tn. we have plenty of deer and others in other areas of the state seem to not have as many simply because they are always complaining about a lack of deer sightings.....
Maybe people question data simply because the data was not taken in THEIR neck of the woods....
makes sense to me....
Bh To take that a sep further, its hard to understand,at least to me,how the regs are vitually the same for west TN and east TN.Number of deer are certainly not the same. But I guess they have their reasons.Im comparing a unit A county to a unit B county.Pretty much the same regs.Obviously L is different. Unit A and B have considerable differ in the regs..Unit A you can harvest a total of 11 deer,3 bucks, and 8 antlerless deer..Unit B you can harvest a total of 6 deer...3 bucks and 3 antlerless..Of course if you live in a county that has quota or non quota doe hunts you can get in on that, but not many unit b counties has those.

I was literally stunned when I heard that Haywood County was going to a three doe PER DAY limit this past season. I thought that was abit much, even though we have tons of deer here.
I would be anxious to see data on how many hunters actually did kill three does in one day/hunt.
regulations are for the greedy and IMO, the ignorant.....most people would kill three does in one hunt just to say they did...and for no other reason. Unless of course they needed the meat and their hunting time was limited, but even then.....
let's just take what we need and leave the rest.....I see no problem in doing that.
