I agree.People seem to think baiting is a sure thing.after a deer or two is shot around them the rest will get pretty smart quick. It won't be the end of hunting like some are making it out to be.

I personally wish they would do away with feeding animals all together and that including animal watchers in both on/off seasons.

I don't care one way or the other because its not going to effect the way I hunt... If they do legalize baiting then I'm going to get in the corn business, LOL \:D

KY allows it...all that decomposing corn is what has made their soil so good.

I wish they would either legalize all year or make it illegal to feed and bait during season. To me the way it is now, legal as long as your not hunting over it or influencing movement of deer and to have it all up before 14 days of you hunting is ridiculous.

I sure hope not. I wish they outlaw feeding completely. But if the legalize baiting, I can fill my freezer with deer and turkey while sitting on my patio.

Please list "all" the other states. You might be surprised at how few allow it.

From what I could find on the net as of 2008:
No Bait Allowed:

Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Missouri, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wyoming

Baiting Allowed In Entire State:
Arizona, Hawaii, Kansas, Nevada, New Hampshire, Mississippi, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Utah, Washington
Baiting Only In Selected Areas:

Connecticut, Florida, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Texas, Wisconsin

So 22 states allows baiting. Actually ended up being more than I thought.

I feel like if you dont agree with baiting or hunting over it, then dont do it. "IF" it was ever legalized, then it would be "your" choice to do so or not. Until baiting is legal I am against hunting over it. Once it is legal, then like any other form of legal hunting, I say have at it!
