I don't have a dog in this fight as I don't bow hunt. But biologically, I don't think it would be a problem to open bow season earlier.

Since deer season is over,and evryone is posting all kinds of stuff,heres my idea.How about a labor day weekend hunt for deer?Why not,open it for Sat,Sun ,MOn,most people are off work,and we might can still catch a big buck in their summer feeding pattern.Then just close it back down until the regular opener.
I know,most people will say it will be to hot,but it might not be,the last few openers in KY werent bad at all,at least in the morning.What do yall think?
Plus,we get to hunt more!What could it hurt BGG?
If 3 months isn't enough time to bowhunt I doubt 3 more days will be enough either.I don't think it is a good idea because that is probably the biggest hunted weekend already with dove hunting going on.TWRA doesn't need deer hunters to worry about then also.

OK,BSL but I wasnt saying just add 3 days any time,like at the end of the season,but at the perfect time to catch a big buck.I have more to worry about all the time at my job.Why not TWRA?Im not gonna do a thing illegal anyway,one less to worry about!

Well ok then as long as every hunter says they won't do anything illegal during that 3 days why not?lol you got to be joking.like I said twra is spread so thin that weekend they don't need any other hunting to worry about.If our bow season was a week long rather than 3 months i might agree with you.

I dont see a problem with it. Bucks are pretty predictably at that time and are on a pretty constant pattern. I honestly feel VERY certain that I would have a GREAT chance at a good buck every season if the season were open for that weekend. The last 3 years, I have had bachelor groups come into my salt/mineral licks just about everyday UNTIL a day or 2 before the season....talk about frustrating
