It looks like my family will be moving to Tullahoma next month because my wife got a job offer there. I have noticed that there is a good bit of public land to hunt around that area. Just wondering if anyone has ever hunted(any kind small/big game) in that area? Any info. is appricated.

AEDC rocks! it's a good place to hunt. I'm not sure of the other public places though. Go to the TWRA website and look up wildlife management areas.

I have read about AEDC, how does it work there? I have seen where you have to sign in and out. I have also seen things about drawing. At the AEDC can you go there and hunt anytime season is open? When we get up there I plan to go to the local TWRA office to get more info because hunting season and laws are a lot different in TN than here in SC. Thanks

Thanks Im from the lower state of SC.My best advice to you is to forget that, just let it go.If your use to hunting the upper state of SC,then TN is not that much different.Best advice is to get the hunting guide,or go to the front page of this site and click around. Most places,AEDC is in there I think, will be on here,or for sure in the regs. You could go to the TWRA site. But its gonna be a big adjustment if your from the lower state and use to hunting there. But its good, only took me about 10 years to get use to it.

BTW,if your use to public land hunts in SC,its not that much different, some are draw, some are not.Whe3n you get here, find a local to help out,not any harder to find a hunting buddy here than it is there.

Im not from the lower state Im up around the mnts. and the way the rules are here there are 2 or 3 either sex days and the quailty of bucks is not very good unless you have a lot private land. When my wife and I drove up for her interview we drove around a good bit and seen a lot of deer from the road. It looks like good hunting country.

AEDC is a good place to deer and turkey hunt. Bear Hollow WMA has deer, but tough terrain. Owl Hollow has turkey and deer but it gets plenty of pressure from the weekend crowds. Mingo has deer and small game and ducks if there is water. Plenty of puplic land but it can be some tough hunting until you get things figured out.
