I had several of my adjoining property owners on my tract in Livingston County, KY telling me they had seen BIG CAT. KY fish and wildlife told me that I could have one, but not a native cat.
Said that people were bringing them in from South America illegally, then would get sacred once they got big. Would take them out to the country and let them go, said LBL had a pair, but they had DNA on them and they were from SA also. Also said most of the people getting them were in the Drug Business.

I have no doubt in my mind there are numerous folks who believe they have seen cougars in Tennessee. How's that for an official statement!
