Since deer season is over,and evryone is posting all kinds of stuff,heres my idea.How about a labor day weekend hunt for deer?Why not,open it for Sat,Sun ,MOn,most people are off work,and we might can still catch a big buck in their summer feeding pattern.Then just close it back down until the regular opener.
I know,most people will say it will be to hot,but it might not be,the last few openers in KY werent bad at all,at least in the morning.What do yall think?
Plus,we get to hunt more!What could it hurt BGG?

Check out Florida's proposed regulations for the 2010-2011 season in the southern part of the state. The southern part of the state will open July 31st and close on October 17th. Then re-open on November 20th and run to January 2nd. Want to go to the beach and go deer hunting this summer?

You would be better off shooting your dog. Deer down here are small. Now if you want to gator hunt that may be worth the trip.

X2! I would love our season opening the 1st weekend in september! It just seems like right when our season opens the deer are changing their patterns

Go to KY and hunt, it is open to everyone and there is plenty of public land. I feel our deer season is plenty long.

I dont see a problem with it. Bucks are pretty predictably at that time and are on a pretty constant pattern. I honestly feel VERY certain that I would have a GREAT chance at a good buck every season if the season were open for that weekend. The last 3 years, I have had bachelor groups come into my salt/mineral licks just about everyday UNTIL a day or 2 before the season....talk about frustrating

the hunters who are doing illegal things will do it whenever they feel like it anyways how much goes on during the reg. season and twra does get some of them but the majority gets by with it
not enough game wardens to do the job no matter what all is going on
