Good Post.... I had a brand new bushhog (ryno & jbar disk) stolen from our farm in North Mcnairy co in March. Also had a ladder stand stolen off the same property in Oct. Aprox. $2100 taken from me total. I can't stand a thief Got these two guys trespassing on one my hidden cams I put out after the first theft. They were the ones that probably got my ladder stand as it was taken at about the same time frame. The local game warden and other officers in the surrounding counties has their picture as well as local LEO'S. They would like to have a chat with them as they are hunters to. I would like to have a few minutes with then as well for a chit chat. ;\)

info .. Rhino 160 5ft bushhog. ( serial #12331 ) It had only half of the PTO shaft on the Bushhog end at the time of the theft. It was brand new.

5 1/2 ft Jaybar disk. On its left side it had "sold $735" and had L & L sales sticker on it. Yellow with black lift arms and had a couple red ratchet straps on it at the time.

The ladder stand was a single with a shooting rail.. just a basic stand. $75

Buddy had a bran new blind stole in Lincoln Co. Set it up on a Wednesday and it was gone Saturday. I had a climber stole about a half mile from where the blind was. Not the most expensive climber but it was my climber. I have a good idea who got them both.

These stolen within the week before rifle season opened; I discovered the theft opening morning when I got to my (former) stand site in Davidson county:

Gorilla King Kong delux stand
4 Gorilla independant stick ladder sections
30' safety rope with Prusic knot.

CWT, It appears the trespasser in the white shirt is carrying a bag of something in the picture. Did you have any seed or fertilizer taken also? Could be a good evidence picture

No .. I believe he may be adjusting himself. Somehow they got on the property and got off without going by any of my cams with the ladder stand. I have a lot more camera's set up now.

I had a summit viper climber stolen last year from my property just outside Savannah in Crump Tennessee, I was hunting with my girlfriend but didnt have a two man stand so I put her in a ladder stand and put my climber on the tree next to it about noon came back around 3:00 and the climber was gone I guess they watched me put it up. Whats so bad is I caught 2 guys hunting the weekend before and let them go, that will never happen again.

I had a ladder stand stolen off of a piece of property in Roane Cty. Got it back because the moron walked down a muddy road back to where he had parked, which was also in the mud. Followed the muddy tire tracks back to the guys hovel trailer, and retrieved my ladder stand from his back yard. I have been very fortunate over the years, and feel sorry for you all that have had problems.

I had an old climber stolen this year, I wasn't to upset about it, it was a really old climber and heavy as all get out so hope they had a rough time getting it out! I had a nice Moultrie trail cam stolen in Lincoln county in 2008, I know how you guys feel it sucks!

I had a brand new trail cam stolen from one of my food plots and my son had a pop up chair blind stolen from the same area. It was this past muzzle loader season, in Perry co.

It really ticks me off to know that a fellow deer hunter would trespass and steel!

I didn't lose anything this year, but I found both parts of a Summit climbing stand in the middle of Vernie Kirk road in McNairy County. Looks like it fell off the back of a truck or something. I asked the homeowners that were home that morning on that part of the road if they knew anything about it, but they didn't. I also put a cardboard sign up on the stop sign at Vernie and Hwy57 about it but nobody ever called.
If it belongs to one of you guys, let me know. If you can ID it, i'll get it to ya.

Does anyone mark their equipment. I mean with a number,NOT SS# but with a number you can use to ID stuff with. I have a Number I used on all my hunting stuff plus my guns and it is in several place on the equipmnet SCRIBED IN. It would be hard for them to get it all marked off. I have even stuffed my number and id tag up ito the tree stand post just trying to get it ID'ed so when it is recovered or I think it's mine I know were to look

If you are going to mark it with a number, use your drivers license number so that law enforcement and/or pawnshop and/or repair persons can get your info to contact you if they think the equipment is stolen. Law enforcement can look you up by your drivers license number, but not many agencies are allowed to look you up by your Social Security Number.
This is also good for home valuables like your TV and anything else. Just put your state of drivers license and the number written TNDL (stands for Tennessee Drivers License). It should look like "TNDL#55555555".

last year had some camo netting stolen off my dads stand. we put it up on a saturday and came back the following thurs and it was gone.

have had 1 new 99 model 325 polaris mag 4wd 4wheeler and a 8x10 trailer and another 8x10 trailer about 6 ladder stands 2 climbing stands but the kicker is my lawn mower was stolen from my drive way may22nd 2009 and the waste of air was caught by my 66 year old dad.
when my dad tried to stop the guy. the criminal, who was 52 and had a rap sheet that would impress most cons on death row and had just been released from jail for possession of crack(which i thought was a federal crime) and was wanted in 2 states and 4 different counties on warrants !!!!! TRIES 2 RUN MY DAD OVER IN MY DRIVE WAY! the best part my dad has his ruger lcp .380 i had got him for fathers day and shot at the man . not striking him.
keep in mind he tried to run dad over. 7months later nothing has been done to the scum sucking garbage know as randall brogden from rock spring ga. but the D.A from bradley county has tried to put my dad in jail for 3 felony charges ...
