The regional rankings is as interesting to me as anything simply based on the top 5 in the SE. The top 3 states Miss, AR, and GA all have AR's statewide, and take the top spots in rankings. That is interesting to me.

QDMA should be nonbiased, but you never know anymore it seems everyone has an agenda to push forth.

IMO - Very dissappointing report from a supposed "professional" organization. (And that's not "sour grapes". It's from acknowledging very poor scientific "reporting".)

The report appears accurate to me.
Although I have no idea where they got their WMA information.
They refer to WMU's, which I interpret as being subdivisions of the state. I don't believe they are talking about WMAs in the sense that we use the term here in Tennessee.

Haha..1 min quicker. My thoughts exactly BGG and Setterman. You could see 5 different positions from this from 5 different groups, it all depends on what they are "wanting" you to buy into at the moment.

Think about the "QDMA", what is their sole focus now? It certainly isn't conservation or anything like the NWTF, DU, DW, QU, etc etc. It is about pushing a mentality and making $$$$. I am not trying to say this report is bogus, but it is a head scratcher.
I plan on reading the report, and then making a better educated decision on how accurate their findings are and how they are spun. I am fortunate to know a fair amount about another state in the report and maybe can compare data stuff to see how the accuracy ranks.

That is interesting to me. That was the first thing that came to mind. Why does MS and Ar rank so high? Well when it's ILLEGAL to shoot a yearling you better have the lowest yearling harvest!  Also, I think next time I'll submit all our data from our DMAP and QDM clubs and pawn it off as "statewide" data since that's where most SE states get their data. As much as I love our data collection system, it sure would be nice to do what other states do. 
Agreed, unless MISS is collecting some sort of new mythical data which no one knows about, then they have no idea what statewide harvests look like. DMAP parcels are a great place to support a QDMA agenda, duh
GA has no information either about age classes of harvested deer. They do have statewide AR, but there is no check in system, and never GW's at processors gathering data.
I think the QDMA has adopted the "Obama stimulus philosophy", i.e. "saved or created jobs". I gave up on them years ago, when they pushed the Doe slaughtering ideology without fully understanding the possible negative implications which coul dbe felt, they lost me.

That's a great point and I wish everyone would dissect this critically. And I know the author prefaced the report by saying this is for "fun," but how many average Joe QDM hunters are going to understand that this report is meaningless? I could see the masses using this report as a launching pad to "make changes". Again, I just think it was very irresponsible. It was just added to the list of "misinformation" that is out there.
