Ok after reading the PI thread im not sure the question of how long does it take to get drawn was answered. So the guys that got drawn last year, and i know there are a few on here, how many points did you have?

This is a question for the Quota Hunt Lady if you want a better "guess". \:\)

Since we don't know how many people will continue to apply for this in coming years, there's no way to have a definative answer.
But I'd guess someone applying in 2010 (with zero priority) will have little chance of being drawn until they apply exclusively for PI for about 10 years.

The time frame could be collapsed dramatically if TWRA started managing another WMA or two similarly to PI.

They all had four points because the unlimited point system was started for the 2006 season. There is a group of about 400 who will have 5 points going into next year. By the time they get up to about 8-9 pts they will all get drawn. If someone starts this year they can assume it will take around 8-10 pts unless the number of total applicants changes.

it will get us a really good idea if we know how many points it took for the hunters last year to get drawn.

So if that is true everyone drawn next year will have 5 points but not everyone with 5 points will get drawn.

That means no one could have more than 4 priority points in 2009.
In 2010, no one will have more than 5, thus anyone with less than 5 has zero chance.

In 2011, no one will have more than 6, thus anyone with less than 6 has zero chance.

Ultimately, like Recurve Shooter stated, it will take 8 to 10 points based on current (but ever-changing info).
