Yeah I know what you mean. I've been hunting it going on 30 years now. I did harvested a decent 125" 8 pt up there, seen a bunch of 2.5 year old 8 pts.

Hoosier national Forest???
Grew up there 'till I was 17...
Your chances being shot are greater than downtown D.C. ESPECIALLY during "shotgun" season...
However, your chances of a buck of a lifetime.... VERY real...(On opening day) After that RUN FOR THER HILLS!
The bodies on them hoosier deer are massive as well as the mass of their racks. After that, run for the hills...
I use to hunt around Princeton, In. also. Doe's dressed at 125 or better regularly...

Indiana is a great mid-west state to bow hunt. My favorite mid-west states are the ones that the license are cheap and easy to get!
