Juvy Success Times Two

I got to put the polishing touches to an already nice season ender this past weekend. TNLynn and I took his two kids to a friend of ours place in Smith County and had two on the ground by 8:00. He has two nice shooting houses set up and lets us come up each year with the kids during the last juvenile hunt.

I am not sure who was more excited the big kids or the actual kids (Brooklynn and Christopher). $\:\)$ To make it better, Brooklynn made a 200 yard shot on the deer that she killed. I was setting with her and couldn't be more proud of the shot that she made. I did not tell her how far it was but told her to get on it and see if she could make the shot. She moved around to get comfortable a few times and finally said I can do it. I knew that she was a good shot even at that distance and knew the gun could do it too so I told her to squeeze one off when the deer offered a good shot. She hit it a little far back but forward enough to collect liver and make a good kill. Her shot ran deer over her brother who also made a good shot which was through a small opening about 75 yards away. You would have thought that they had both killed ten pointers.

This put the polishing touches on my season. I ended good last weekend with a doe on Saturday and a last minute 8 pt on Sunday evening. This made it even better.
