Thanks everyone,
The reason I made the post was out of fun but also as a friendly reminder to everyone on how easy it is. Plenty of kids do not have role models and are at ages that they can go "either" way. Instead of talking about the kids that need a parent to woop their butts I want to be one to get them active. Hunting/fishng is just a few things I enjoy. Thankfully all of you are just like me, enjoy outdoors. Gab a kid by the scruff of their necks and drag them into the outdoors. After that they will beat you to the truck to go every time.
Football hunter, may take you up on it. Get your son out with these boys and we can all have some fun.

rich, I think the best decision you made in this is to take him squirrel hunting. That is the best way, imo, to get someone in the outdoors. Thats what my dad did with me, and I have heard from many others that that is the best way. Just go sit at the base of a tree and teach him that woodsmanship of listening, watching, and enjust enjoying being there. If he starts to get bored, walk around a little bit, show him what the deer eat, the turkeys eat, all while looking for squirrels.
Good luck man! Thats what got me hooked and I cant wait until I have a youngster to take out and enjoy the outdoors.
