I believe hunting rubs is better than hunting scrapes.Seems like most bucks check scapes at night.I think people hunting scapes waste a lot of time when they could be hunting terrain features instead.

I believe hunting rubs is better than hunting scrapes.Seems like most bucks check scapes at night.I think people hunting scapes waste a lot of time when they could be hunting terrain features instead.
I have heard the same thing and have killed bucks on rub lines but the biggest buck I have every killed was checking a scrape at 9:00 in the morning... I have alo has a few bucks checking scrapes I didn't know was there and they slipped in on me..

Even on trail cams I rarely,if ever,see bucks on scrapes in the day light

IMO, if I had to choose one it would be a rub line. I've noticed that right before the rut that the donate buck on a piece of property will check a rub line often. JMO...

A rub line that goes from a thick area to a food source of some sort, and I would hunt on the edge of the thick stuff.
