i made a archery target out of cardboard. compressed like a block target. free and works good.
lots of cardboard cut about 12" x 24"or more. layer after layer . 2 x 12 for top and bottom with rope or ratchet strap on each end.

will try to get a pic.

Yep, I have one as well. I used a 2x12 on the top and bottom and ran threaded rod up both sides, makes it easy to tighten or replace the cardboard once is starts to get shot out. The rods stick down below the bottom and act as anchors to hold it up.

I get tons of free cardboard from work.

Mine is stored away in the shed behind the lawn furniture right now.

If I can get to it tomorrow I will take some pics.

I shot at a bow shop in MO that had the compressed cardboard set up as a backstop for their entire wall. Worked great, but we never tried it with broadheads.

thin carpet works well layered so you shoot into the layers also.

Got to watch the buildup of glue on the arrow shaft...we had a range set up with the same as celling tiles and after a few shots the arrow shaft was covered in glue....carbons were real bad about buildup. Got to be like trying to pull a fish hook out with the buildup acting as a barb.

I built mine out of styrofoam that comes in coolers. The packing is the same as what goes down under hardwood flooring. Put it all together and zip tied within a box. Works like a charm as long as the cows leave it alone.

I think when Steve's gun and archery in Columbia had there indoor bow range steve told me that's what their targets were. It worked very well.
