My girlfriend harvest her first deer at 120yds with a Thompson Center Thunderhawk and thinks I'm pulling her leg when I tell her that 120yds is a good shot for a muzzleloader esp since it was the first time she had ever shot a firearm at an animal in her life. What do you think guys, 120yds muzzleloader first time hunting?

60 grains of 777 powder to use up what was left of the powder and to lighten the kick and 250 TC shockwave sighted in 2" high at 50yds. Smoked it. She took it from ground blind in the back ground. And yes she had orange on just took it off for the pic.

Congradulations to her on her 1st deer.I hope you and her have many more happy sucessfull hunts together.
To know if it was a excellent shot ?? or a Lucky shot ?? We need to know if she knew it was 120 yards and she was able to compensate for bullet drop ??
I couldn't even begin to guess what a 250 grain bullet will do at 120 yards with only 60 grains powder.
