Anybody hunted Nebraska in September? Any feedback or outfitters or ideas no similar hunts for early whitetail?

No idea about outfitters but I have hunted a ton in Sept. I like it as well as Nov. Maybe even better.

September is a great time to kill a good buck on a predictable bed to feed pattern, especially in the midwestern states where you can scout from afar! A lot of good bucks killed like this every year! I personally think however than many of the very oldest/smartest bucks rarely move during daylight, outside of the Rut, which is why many old bucks are killed every year that have never been saw by human eyes, that is until Sissy gets him killed!

If you can, key in oon river bottoms and look for oak trees. It is almost impossible to hunt the crop fields that early. But the deer don't spend all their time in the crops. Key on the creek and river bottoms.

Had a trip planed for this year but didn't make it. My partner became ill. Will try this coming season. The Game and Fish Dept were very helpful to us and answered all our questions. We are going to hunt public land in the SW part of the state. Bowriter is right on the money about river bottoms, they told us the same. Best of luck to you. There is some big ones there......
