I know a guy that has one as well as two dozers. We were talking and we think we can do what we want done with the Bobcat and he can get around quicker and better than the dozers.
Mostly just pushing brushpiles and limbs out of the way.
Might need a road or two fixed but nothing major. I'm thinking the bobcat can do that also.
Any opinions?

I have done fair with a bobcat, but they don't move any trees of any size at all.

Better have real good tread on the tires too! They will loose a lot of power spinning in the soft ground otherwise. Tracks would be good.
I used one for several days pushing up tree tops and burning after we did some logging. A small dozer probably would have been faster but I didn't have access to that.

We did a lot last year with a boobcat.I cleared roads of briars and weeds.moved treetops for food plots and cleaned up rutted roads.it did good but a dozer would be better.It will go more places and move more.

The ones I have seen would have to work like he11 to clear one. I have never seen over 30 pounds.

We have used ours, have a 6-way blade, and a mulching head for it, the mulching head works great. The right dozier operator can save your time and money, we also had a mulching contractor come in from west Tn to do bigger tree work for us. Used him in our development work and then I took him to my hunting tract, great work and a great price. All I did was over seed the areas with wheat and oats, mixed in with the fertilizer and peal lime, worked great did it right before rain.

also,your right on top of the debris,pretty dangerous.You may be quicker,but not near the power,especially if its a little wet.

They make an attachment called a brush mulcher for skid steers. Alot of places rent these and they are really nice for cleaning up thick overgrown areas.
Something else is a Tree shear.. I've used both of them on bobcats, and they work pretty good.
