I dont seem to have a problem with theft on my property! Do you guys leave your stands up year around?

I don't, but not because I'm worried about em walking off. They'll last much longer out of the weather.

I leave 4 ladder stands out all year. Just be sure to put a chain and lock around them..

I take mind down at the end of everty season. It gives me a chance in the spring to check for rust on key areas of the stand as well as replace any nuts and bolts as necessary. Then I put them back up in June and July.

On one farm, I do. One another, I do not simply because I had a ladder stand stolen last year.....
Going back to get all my stuff as soon as the weather breaks.....

I would love to take them down every year, but we have too many of them to take them all down.
We have had a couple stolen, but locks seem to help.

The only time/places I use Ladder stands are on properties me and the boys hunt every year, and we leave them in the woods permanently. Only time they get moved is tweaking stand locations. These are all also 16 ft 2 man Ladder stands mostly for the kids and they are a pain to move. I do have a few in storage at the house right now that I need to put up.
