Congrats on a Nice deer and an excellent shot !
I was with my cousin back in the 80's when he was shooting his dad's 760 in a 270. He popped a doe at nearly 250 yards using a redfield wideview 4x scope. She dropped in her tracks. Not bad for a 15 year old back in the day. I love those guns. I currently own 3 of the 7600 pumps. (30/06, 270 and 25/06)
My uncle still shoots that gun to this day. He bought it used in the early 70's for 75.00, and it still has the same redfield 4x scope on it. If it had a notch of wood taken out of it for every deer it has killed, it wouldn't have a stock or forearm...lol
