Yes I just top sow wheat and tunip seed, you wont have a high germenation rate but that seed is cheap, and if you disk it you will damage a lot of your clover and grass.

We harvested three nice bucks last year on that hunting spot. The only thing is (8point,15 1/2 yrs) ,(9point,51/2yrs),(8point,51/2yrs).These are all mature deer, just no antler size.I was thinking mineral blocks or something of that nature could help? What is your opin.

Mineral rocks are good attractants, and they do supply some antler growing qualitys but it is on the low end of the equation.

I am going to try some clover and DER on some new food plots as soon as I get a little more info on the DER. I will let you all know how it does.

We have purchased an eight-disc tiller from Hunter's Specialties, will probably start plowing pasture this weekend. Some have told us that we should also buy the pull-behind chain link harrow, but it was another $200 bucks. Is it really necessary or will the deer know the difference? Thanks, Dutch http://www.huntknox.com

Also, I am also looking at a boom sprayer (15 gallons) at Tractor Supply, another $200, but seems like it might be more useful than the harrow.

Do it yourself food plots don't feel all that cheap on the front end. Thanks-Dutch http://www.huntknox.com
