Anybody ever use these to put infront of their camera for deer to eat? Was wondering how they eat them..I know deer love alfalfa,i was wanting an alternitive to corn, squrriels and crows eat alot of it..Im putting my cams back out next weekend after the juvy hunt and I think im gonna give them a try.THey are in small 2inch x 2inch cubes,my dad buys them for his horses, and its like $12 for a 50lbs bag..I think the deer should tear them up in the late season like this.

They probably will if the other critters don't eat them up first.

I tried it a couple years ago. I put it in my feeder, and the deer paid no attention to it at all. They more or less kicked it to the side and trampled it. The deer in my area don't have a clue what Alfalfa is, so they are not used to it. If you can find the alfalfa pellets (not the cubes) and mix it with corn, I think you would have better success. jmo

Cecil save your money ,deer will not eat that much alfalfa cubes or bales unless they are used to eating it already, such as a planted field or such..You will be much better off buying a 10.00 bag of sweet feed, deer love it, it has everything from oats, corn, alfalfa, clover, molassess.I cannot keep the deer away from it if I tried.Works way better than plain corn or anything else for that matter. By the way, before someone says it dont work,I have used only sweet feed for over 35 years, its a deer magnet..

I agree with IceMann..my horses love the alfalfa cubes but I think sweet feed would work better...I could feed my horses sweet feed because it makes them too hyper...but, I bet the deer would tear it up...my dog and mice will tear it up too
