Congrats..Yodel Dog,he was perfectly legal,your allowed to hunt from a vehicle as long as its on private property and not public!

No actually, I had a discussion with my county's GW about this very subject. I asked because of the cold temps we're having now. It's illegal to hunt from a vehicle capable of being driven on the road. Tractors, atv's, utv's, are all fine. Sorry, I don't make the rules, but everybody has to follow them. If I'm correct, you can't even kill a deer you spotted from your vehicle.

Hunting from any vehicle, stationary or otherwise, is prohibited from a public road, right-of-way or on public property, including WMAs.

Hunting Froma Stationary Vehicle On private property, hunting while in or on a vehicle that cannot be legally licensed to operate on public highways in Tennessee (ORV, ATV) is permitted providing that the vehicle is stationary (engine may be running). Hunting from any vehicle, stationary or otherwise, is prohibited from a public road, right-of-way or on public property, including WMAs. or on public property, including WMAs. [/quote]
