Agree that tomorrow looks like the best day for the rest of the season -- wish I could get away, but the day is pretty packed. Have to decide whether to try it on Friday and Saturday. Good luck, BH.

Went to my best place for doe activity.......funny thing was, on the way out, there were four does standing in another field that I can hunt...go figure!
I got in the stand around lunch with high hopes for a middle afternoon doe-fest. My thoughts were that around 1:00 or 2:00, some does would come out to feed for an hour or so, and then go back in until right before dark. I plan was to pop one or two when they came out the first time and be back home and warm before dark.
I guess that they came out before I got there or not at all. Darkness caught me still sitting there and no deer.
So............unless I get brave and go one more time in this REALLY cold temps, then I'm done.
One doe and one buck......typical season for me.
I did realize yesterday how much I truly love to deer hunt. Even after 35 years of tree stand sitting, I was just as happy as I was on day one way back in 1974.
Gotta love it....!
