I've had my 2 man pop up blind in this one paticular for about 2 weeks now,Only hunted it one time, but I plan to take my Juvy hunter there to hunt it,but I had to move it up the right of way about 50 to 60 yds, because the deer always cross about 150 yds out..So I moved it closer, and I brushed it in real good today, may go back this weekend and brush it up some more..But my question is,do you think the deer will be used to it by the time the juvy hunt gets underway next weekend? Thats 10 days..I think it should be ok..Or would I have been better off carrying it in the morning of the hunt and putting it up? I just want stuff to go as smooth as possible, thats why I put it up today, one less thing i'll have to worry about while walking in that morning..I can focus on my little hunter.

Cecil, I've killed deer out of em the day I put them up. The deer will look at them, but that just means they will stop to do it.

I would feel much better with it being there 10 days vs same day. Deer are not like Turkeys, they will notice even the smallest of changes in their bedrooms.

I've had mixed results with a popup. Sometimes deer don't pay it any attention at all and some stomp and blow as soon as they see it.

I've only killed 1 deer out of a pop up,I carried it in that morning, had a grop of 4 does come out,the biggest doe, turned and faced me dead on,and kept walking towards me and stomping her feet and giving me a good look over..Bad day for her,she got to about 60yds and I smoked her with the ML,curiosity killed the cat..If she would have stayed where she came out at,I couldn't have got her,she was too far,but her curiosity brought her in close enough for a shot...Im hoping 10 days is long enough for them to get used to it.

Another thing Cecil. I've had them up for weeks and get in them and unzip the windows and they will freeze on it because you have the windows open.

I was wondering about that also..Well,i guess its a good thing that they freeze when they see it,because by the time they step out in this rightaway,I was gonna have to stop them any way so my neice can get a shot..I try to keep the window zipped up as much as possible..
