did anybody see alot this year. at my spot in ky i seen 8+ bucks all together that had half racks. i hate to say it but i seen more half racks than i seen bucks with all sides. the only buck i seen that was a shooter was an 18" main frame 6pt with a broke g2. could have shot him several times but passed because he was broke. during the last mz season had 4 bucks in the field and 3 were half racks lol. one would have been huge if he'd have both sides.
never seen that many in a season.

I saw a buck at the first of rifle season that proly would have gone mid 120's if he would've had both sides. The side that was broken only had about 4 inches. I don't believe it was done by another buck as the area I was hunting does not produce many bucks this size. I also have several trail cam pics of broken up bucks. This is not normal for where I hunt. My guess is the lack of doe sightings in my area. Fewer does to go around may have had tensions running high.

I saw a couple broken racks myself this year, maybe the deer have figured out they wont get shot so they are breaking them on purpose!!

The big 10-pt that has been living in my backyard is now a big 5-pt.

I saw quite a few but I always do. I even heard fighting going on on the other side of a cedar thicket and when I climbed down I found the fresh half of an 8 point rack laying on the ground in that area.

we usually see more than a few half rack bucks on Chaney every year.....or at least I do.
never see very many in other places.
Not sure why.

More half-racks than I've ever seen before, but strangely, most were young bucks.
All had been photographed earlier with complete racks, so the "haf-racks" were due to breakage (they didn't grow that way).
