To get the neighboors to keep there dog tied up...I have been improving my hunting land BUT they moven in just before season and have about 5 dogs..And i havent hardly went in the woods without seeing at least 2 of em. got trail cam pics and have seen em run deer...Dont wanna shoot em...But they got till the spring when i start turkey hunting and getting food plots ready......Some folks just dont give a crap about hunters

if you have warned them, do whatever you can.
they are breaking the law.
since you don't know these dogs, you can always say that you feared for your safety.......

Happens to us from time to time. All you can do is try to talk or leave note to owners nicely first. If that doesnt work call animal control and they will catch them in a cage and take them in. They will ruin a hunting area.

Contact local law enforcement. I went through the same thing and go the cops involved and now the dogs roam no more.

My cousins had a similar situation on their place,and when they contacted the law, they told them that, if those dogs were coming onto their property, "they knew what they'd do". That's all I would have had to have heard myself.  But, these dogs were acting aggressively toward them, on their own property.
These have already jumped on our lil weiner dog...They said the 1 that did that was not theirs...So we took care of him...I reckon il just start with the few that dont have a collar and see if they get the message...we just went to cut a load of wood and they had just come out of the woods and they went home and barked all morning...eehhhh i cant stand dogs running free

Shoot the dog and leave it laying. If the dog is on your property, it's trespassing. Shoot it and pretty soon they'll get the message to keep the others tied up.

Im gonna tryn talk to the fella...But it could get interesting cuz he dranks pretty regular...But i target practice pretty regular too...And he hears it so he knows i can shoot..lol...Im just gonna tell him ifu love ur dogs put em up and then im coming home and we will see what happens

I don't like dogs running free but a dog does what a dog will do...If it's not trained or properly kenneled it isn't the dog's fault, it's the owner's fault. If their kids were running all over the place you wouldn't do anything to the kids..of course not, you would deal with the owners/parents. Dogs are just like kids in that respect....don't shoot 'em. Have a talk with the owner and try to discuss keeping his dogs at bay...that doesn't work go straight to animal control.

Dogs and kids are nothing alike, kids are humans and dogs are animals! I would warn the owner one time and one time only, after that, you know the rest of the story.

Sad, but this is YOUR land that you either own/lease either way you pay money for. I'm as big of a dog lover as anyone, I promise you that, but this problem is not fixed by taking it lightly. Also, problem with calling the law enforcement is OK so they tell them to put the dogs on a leash, then after they leave they do 50% of the time, don't 50% of the time. Hopefully the landowner will listen and be helpful. Good luck man

had this happen the other day ,, heard a couple barks,, look behind me about 80yds ,, big ol dog,, dont know whos it is,,, will not get many chances,, I love animals and keep my dog fenced in,, in a previous post somebody mentioned leaving it laying,, would not do that,,,, take it far away,, no trace.. dont know -- havent seen your dogs bud!!! never done it but this would be my response..

I had two Rotweilers tree me one afternoon. Big mistake on their part, I was shooting a rifle. Owners called the deputies. Deputies write them a ticket and said they were lucky I didn't sue them. We have a leash law in this county.
Now a coon dog or a beagle, I'll give a pass, one time. Other wise, I practice target shooting. Just won't have it. No tolerance whatsoever. Somewhere down on the TNWR is a pit bull that thought it was bad.

It has been going on fer a while and the folks that used to have the dogs moved out and hunting was awesome fer a couple years...now these folks move in and i reckon they take dogs in off the street i dont know but he will put a stop to it..My grandad sold there landlord the land they are on and we have been here all my 24 years...Ill se the fella out grilling er something and give him his 1 warning...

As with dogs on our hunting lease without collars, shoot em.
If they are beagles i dont touch them as i know they are the locals rabbit dogs and they dont bother much. The strays are as bad as the yotes, which i shoot also.

Is their a state leash law, if so can someone post it? Have the same problem everywhere i have property to hunt, EVERYBODY has 5 mut dogs running around, if they cared about them they would keep them up.From what i have seen you are better of not to say anything to the owner just Shoot,Shovel,Shut up.If the owner was responsible you would not have a problem to begin with.It is something you hate to do but, you are spending alot of time and money to have a nice place you can't let them screw it up.
