Use a disposable handwarmer in your coat pocket. You can keep your glove free hands in your pocket and come zipper time you have no problems.

Yeah, and the colder it gets the harder it is to work with other things too !!!!  As cold as it's staying now............. "I know I left it there, it's supposed to ALWAYS be in the same place! Maybe if I drop a handwarmer down there and look for it later, I can find it!"  Haha!!! Part of the trouble is wearing 4 layers of cloths and only having a 2 layer...well, it's cold out there!
