Just Curious who hasnt killed a deer at all this year.
I know my sighting are way down , but still been fortunate to take a few deer .

i have NOT harvested one yet....had opportunities at numerous does and an 8 point in bow season but let him walk....now they are nocturnal and i havent seen a deer in my last 4 hunts

ME!  Who shoots the does on your property.Just wondering if its really that important to harvest does.
For the last year or two (since the EHD outbreak) we haven't needed much in the way of doe harvests. Our deer density is way down, while we have the food resources to carry in a healthy manner many more deer than we currently have. We've simply been trying to hold our doe harvest equal to our buck harvest, and we've killed few bucks this year.

Me to the EHD killed our deer herd in west tn. It really funny how some of our farms were worst than others in the same co. I ve seen a big change since 2007.

I didn't. I hunted public land this season and everyday except 2 with a bow. I had ten 8 pt or better bucks in bow range this year just none that I cared to shoot. Could have killed many doe but didn't need the meat. Maybe next year, Ill see one of those bucks I passed.

Havnt killed one but then circumstances have kept me from going out. Probably less than 10 days out in the field.

No deer for me. Been scouting and hunting hard hard since bow season. I saw 10-12 the first hour of gun season and passed on a 15 inch 10 and I haven't seen a deer since.
