Sure I am whining but this forum is my therapy. I am glad 2009 is over turkey season was horrible and I was never able to seal the deal during archery, muzzle loader, or gun. I had my chances and well I pretty much suck!!!!!!!!!
This will be my first year in the last 4 that nothing has come home with me. I would like to think I have become a better hunter in the past 4 years but I can truely say I have gotten worse. I stink!!! I know people say being in the woods is the reward and I get that and enjoy being in the outdoors...but I hate sitting for long periods of time and my wife gives me grief about hunting and the time I am away so when there is nothing to show for it...well....I know I should feel blessed to be able to hunt lots of guys cannot and lots of guys are fighting to give us the ability to hunt and be free...but I just needed to vent my frustration somewhere.....There is next Saturday

I know how you feel jdyer. This will be the first year since 1992 that I haven't killed a deer. And it's not from lack of trying. I've certainly put in the treestand hours.

A friend of mine was such a bad hunter it cost him his marriage.
His wife didn't believe that he was actually hunting; she thought he was having an affair.
"You claim to be hunting with Jake, but he's getting all these deer and you never come home with anything."
Swear to God, that's what she said. Once she ran into my son at the store, and she asked my son if her husband was really hunting with us.
All in all, he's better off now anyway.
