Since im tagged out on bucks I have been trying out spots I have never hunted. Around ten this morning I found a spot with some massive fresh rubs and trails that looked like a highway. The spot is only about 8 acres with roads on 3 sides. A main road and 2 other private roads. Pretty thick witha a powerline row in the middle. Lake on one side and highway on other and the deer are comming right threw the middle. Took the bow this afternoon but giong after some slick heads with the shotgun in the morning. Just feels wierd watching cars go by so close while hunting.

When I go into where I hunt there is alot of traffic on the highway for the afternoon hunt.I use the traffic to cover any noise I might make going in.

Private land. Took a nice ten point off this place only about 100 yard deep in the woods. I have been hunting shallow and have been seeing a pretty good bit of deer, while the others have been hunting toward the back of the property.

I started out the archery season as far back on the area I was hunting as possible thinking the further away from other hunters the better. The majority of the other hunters were only going in a couple of hundred yards from the road. (suckers I thought) well, as the pressure has dropped I started hunting the same area where they were and I've seen wayyy more deer! (guess I'm the sucker huh?!)
