anyone on here beenhunting any of it around washington co and unicoi co? esp around bumpas cove or the pine thicket on hwy 107??

Me and my bro use to hunt Bumpas Cove a lot. He has hunted there a little this year, but not seen too much. By they Pine Thicket on 107, you talking about the old Jackson Farm in the Jackson Island, Jackson Bridge area? I hunted there 20 years ago, but not lately.

yeah thats the pine thicket. i have been there 3 times in the last 2 weeks and walked from there all the way to the back and at the very back when u look straight down you are right above the landfill in bumpass cove. i have jumped a deer 2 of the 3 times i walked it and it was in the same holler both times.once u get on top of the mountain on the 107 side the rest is easy walking but its pure hell to get over that first one though!

Two of my friends drove up bump cove last wk after the snow.They had to cut a few trees out of the road.They went to the end and then took the right out the bad road(14miles).he said they only saw 3 sets of tracks the whole time..lol..dead zone

to many bears in there for me to fight, Clarks Creek sucks of bears too...hahaha

neutral88 you ant jkn...this is the third bear i have killed with my bow....2 bad ehd or somethen can't thinem out..i think they just walked back n forth in front of my cams 2 piss me off! if i saw deer like i did bears i would't be huntn out of state.lol

there are some big ones in there, but heck, they aint worth the work and money/time....I can pay to hunt in the midwest for less, so that is what I do...
