Is it just me or is it the year of the 8 pointers. Around here I've seen and noticed more 8 pointers than ever. Alot of nice 8 pointers killed this year in this part of the country. I was just wondering if it was like that where your at??

Ive seen many 8 pointers this year. Saw two 10 pointers one of which I killed. I also killed a good 4.5 year old 8 point. Seems that 8 points have dominated the hunting lease this year. As I recall about 8 years ago there were many 10 pointers seemed to dominate the lease.

My 1st year hunting in earnest at the ripe old age of 35. Both of my antlered tags have been young 8-pointers and the two other bucks taken on my property have been 8-pts as well, one young and one was probably a 3.5yr old, a very nice buck killed on ML opening day. The 10pt and 12pt roam my land are still out there based on recent sightings, but continue to escape my best novice efforts to fill my last tag. ML missfire on the 12 pt with a perfect 30' shot, probably used up all my luck. Those old guys are like phantoms moving about. I still get daytime pics on my trailcam but cant muster another lucky encounter despite my best efforts. Eight days left, wish me luck

The biggest percentage of bucks any where you go are main frame 8 pointers so no surprise there.
