I was thinking the same thing.

Mankind has been killing pregnant animals and eating them for years! Nothing new here. The fact that we are in the electronic age and can share pics of what we see is a little bit new, but it is becoming more popular.

The truth is, most folks don't want to shoot a doe while hunting in November, thinking maybe a buck will be trailing her...or two or three! So, to take out some does from the heard in December almost certainly means they are going to be pregnant but it needs to be done. It's no big deal. The fact that we see the embryos, well, welcome to the real world. And that's coming from one of the least synical person on this forum.

Still doesn't make it right to kill the unborn bucks & does and then post pictures online.

Ditto Go.

Carlos, Killing does is necessary in most parts of the state and If you take your does in late season, which most do it is inevitable that you will kill pregnant does. The TWRA knows this and IMO they count on it to slow herd growth. I don't know that many on here "get ofF" on killing pregnant animals, just comes with the territory, if you (again IMO) do your part and thin the herd, threw doe kills.

As for the pictures I'm not amused by them and I certainly don't "get off" to them, but they are interesting to me as I have never seen an embryo.

I guess I could have been more "politically correct" and posted the disclaimer "warning - graphic photos, view at your own risk"....but I'm just not that politically correct.

I've never understood this kind of thinking. If you kill a doe before the rut, it's not going to have any fawns either. Killing a doe now is no different than killing one before the rut.

I don't kill them period. But I am not against hunters killing them if they are ok with it, just don't need to see the abortion clinic photos online.

I wouldn't know where to look and see if she was carrying. On another note, I don't really care. If I want to shoot a doe in the late season I do it, then I field dress her and fill the freezer.

Carlos,

If it bothers you to shoot pregnant females, then don't shoot any does after the rut starts. Many does will be pregnant within 2 weeks of the rut starting.

I guess you could ask the does to pee on a stick before you shoot them to see if they are pregnant or not.
