And another thing, I have only killed ONE mature buck with a rifle. It was NOT on purpose. I had NO IDEA he was there. Almost ALL the places I deer hunt are GREAT rifle stands...but I simply prefer the bow. I rarely pass on a doe, and it has NEVER cost me a mature buck. In fact, it may have even helped me kill a couple big bucks!
I don't hunt much private land, and the private land I do hunt gets so hammered by the public that it may as well be public. There is a BUNCH of public land in Tennessee to hunt. You just have to know where to look.
40 misses in TWO seasons...that is IMPRESSIVE!!! I can't imagine 40 shots in TWO seasons.
